Lost Chateaus of the Ile-de-France


This is the Hôtel de Gaillonnel-Longueville circa 1630. The picture is modern and the building was demolished in 1806. I happened across this painting on a website by Christian Benilan. He has created a site with hundreds of watercolours that he has painted of lost castles, abbeys and mansions of ancien province of the Ile-de-France. These will make an excellent addition for my campaign.

And he doesn't just paint buildings...
